Water Utility Programs Transferred to the PUC

On Sept. 1, 2014, the TCEQ transferred responsibility for the regulation of submetered or allocated utility service to the Public Utility Commission of Texas. We also transferred responsibility for the water utility rate, sale, transfer, and merger and Certificate of Convenience and Necessity (CCN) programs to the PUC. See more information on the utility program transfer and how to contact the PUC.
