TCEQ approves fines totaling $566,484
The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality today approved penalties totaling $540,711 against 42 regulated entities for violations of state environmental regulations.
Agreed orders were issued for the following enforcement categories: 11 air quality, one industrial waste discharge, one multi-media, one municipal solid waste, six municipal waste discharge, five petroleum storage tank, ten public water system, and one water quality.
Default orders were issued in the following categories: one air, one in irrigation licensing, one in multi-media, one municipal solid waste, and two public water system.
In addition, on May 9, the executive director approved 16 agreed orders, each $7,500 or less, totaling $15,773.
